Arrowroot starch or flour is made from the dried root of a tropical plant. It is a thickening agent that can be used in place of cornstarch for soups, sauces, and puddings. It has no flavor of its own and is the easiest starch to digest.

Arrowroot received its unusual name because the root of this South American plant was used in the treatment of poisoned arrow wounds.

Manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts and soy.
