Dr. Singaram Dr. Chandar Singaram, MD MBA

Chandar Singaram, MD, MBA (Healthcare) is the Gastroenterologist and Owner of Singaram Gastroenterology.  Dr. Singaram completed his medical training in India in 1982. After completing all qualifying exams, he completed his internal medicine internship and residency at New York University.  He undertook basic research training at Harvard Medical School, Boston and did his Clinical fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He then joined and served as academic gastroenterologist for several years, being involved in research on motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. During that time, he received prestigious NIH and VA MERIT review grants and operated a world class research laboratory, training numerous younger physicians in research.  Dr. Singaram and his family moved to Sioux Falls, SD a few years ago, where his daughter is attending the school for the deaf.  He recently completed his MBA in Healthcare from the University of Sioux Falls.Dr. Singaram’s goal is to provide personalized gastrointestinal care within his independent patient-centered GI practice.  The highly motivated and compassionate staff contribute to the clinic’s success.

Nikki Ver Steeg is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Wellness Coach with over 9 years of experience coaching patients on improving their health through good nutrition. She has helped hundreds of individuals lose weight and improve their well being through her motivational seminars and personalized nutrition consults. She has authored and co-authored two cookbooks and created an innovative meal planning guide to help adults and children plan nutritious and wholesome meals. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Food and Nutrition from Minnesota State University, Mankato and completed her internship at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. She was recently awarded the American Dietetic Association’s Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year. She also enjoys her work as the spokesperson for the South Dakota Dietetic Association.
